My Story

Ever since the Second Grade I've wanted to be a teacher. Even though it was only the school supplies and writing on the white board that excited me at 8 years old, as I got older my passion and desire to positively impact children grew. As I reflect back on my second grade teacher, I realize there were many reasons why I resonated with her so strongly. She demonstrated genuine interest in each student and topic, emanated eagerness and openness to help each child and had the ability to make me feel like I was important and special. All of these attributes truly left me inspired and hopeful to influence others in the same manner.

Growing up my parents instilled within me and my two siblings, the significance of caring for others, and how asking questions are the best way to grow and learn from each other. Keeping this in mind, as I’ve been exposed to more experiences with children through being a camp counselor, student teacher and assistant teacher, I too truly appreciate the value of perpetually learning. Each child brings something new to the table and as an educator I hope to not only emphasize this, but facilitate pride and growth internally in each of my students.
